Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a common disorder and a significant women’s health issue. They occur when bacteria or other micro-organisms enter the urethra and bladder, causing infection, severe irritation and inflammation. Cystitis (bladder infection) is by far the most common form of urinary tract infection. Approximately 90% of cystitis cases are caused by E. coli – bacteria that are normally found in the intestine. They are caused by mannose-sensitive E. coli with type 1 fimbriae or by P-fimbriated E. coli which is mannose-resistant. It is estimated that half of all women will experience a UTI at some point in their lifetime, and 30% of these will suffer one or more recurrences. While over 700,000 cases are reported each year, many women do not seek professional medical help, but instead rely on self-help and herbal remedies for relief.

Valensa’s Cran-Gyn™ Extra Strength Women’s Health Formula with Crannose™ technology promotes urinary tract health naturally and effectively by lowering the adhesion of bacteria for quick, harmless elimination. Patent pending Crannose™ is a proprietary, comprehensive women’s health formula that includes a blend of cranberry extract, 100% natural D-Mannose plus feminine immunity boosters, antioxidants and anthocyanins. Crannose™ can be taken daily to support regular urinary function, preemptively before trigger irritation activities, or as a doubled dosage when a UTI is present.

Valensa’s Crannose™ Extra Strength Women’s Health Formula, manufactured using novel CIT technology, combines the historically known benefits of cranberry with D-mannose, a naturally-occurring, non-caloric, simple sugar, extracted from the Birch tree. Most mannose products on the market are made from synthetic material. Cranberry juice has long been regarded as a preferred aid in the healthy function of the human urinary tract. Recent studies suggest that its anti-adhesion properties inhibit the less common P-fimbriated E. coli. Research has further documented that natural D-mannose inhibits adherence of E. coli type 1 fimbriae which causes the majority of UTIs. Our Crannose™ Extra Strength formula combines the proven efficacy of unsweetened whole cranberry juice with the scientifically validated effects of D-mannose. This powerful combination inhibits 100% of E. coli related urinary tract issues.

Dual action targets urinary tract health

During UTIs, E. coli bacteria gain a foothold by adhering to the bladder wall and/or urethra, causing infection. Crannose™ Extra Strength creates an environment in the bladder that helps prevent bacteria from gaining that foothold. Supplementation with Crannose™ Extra Strength helps to acidify the urine, while its anti-adhesion properties naturally prevent bacteria from attaching to the urinary tract lining. It provides an ideal competitive receptor site for the bacteria, creating a "path of least resistance" for it to be excreted quickly and harmlessly.

Crannose™ Extra Strength is very slowly metabolized in the body, so that when ingested, it travels directly to the bloodstream from the upper GI tract, and is filtered through the kidneys to the bladder for excretion – unchanged. Crannose™ Extra Strength is a safe, all natural supplement providing a healthy alternative to cranberry juice products that contain unacceptable quantities of sugar. A daily dose of just two capsules of Crannose™ Extra Strength is recommended. This dosage should be doubled when a UTI is present.

Crannose™ Extra Strength is manufactured using CIT technology from the highest-quality natural ingredients and is available in bulk, 2-piece capsules (vegetarian or gelatin), as a beverage pre-mix or beverage sachet formula.
